About
Welcome to the GNYC Youth Department Softball League – where faith, fellowship, and the love of the game unite! Our league is not just about the thrill of competition; it's a celebration of our Seventh-day Adventist values and a testament to the enduring spirit of teamwork. As we gather on the diamond, we find inspiration in both the scriptures and the wisdom of Ellen G. White.
In the book of Philippians 2:2-3, we are reminded of the unity and selflessness that define our league's foundation: "Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves." These words guide us in fostering an atmosphere of respect, camaraderie, and mutual support both on and off the field.
Ellen G. White, a guiding light of our faith, once shared a profound insight: "The youth and those of mature age are to be gathered into the fold." In this league, we recognize that our athletes, regardless of age, are valued members of our community. Softball is more than just a game; it's an opportunity for adults of all ages to come together, strengthen their faith, and build lasting connections.
As we embark on another exciting season of softball, let us remember these timeless words of scripture and the wisdom of Ellen G. White.
